The Playhouse, previously named the Isthmus Playhouse, has been renovated into a 350-seat thrust theater, home for the Madison Repertory Theatre. The stage and back-of-house support areas have been enlarged and traditional theater seating has been added. The visibility of the The Playhouse will be strengthened in Overture Center through architectural enhancements to the exterior of the theater. A curved wall rising from the Rotunda level up wraps the Playhouse, providing a major focal point in the facility.
