It's a theater tradition that connects you to deep discounts and last-minute deals on shows. To get deals this great, you'll have to follow the rules for rush, which usually include:
Buy your ticket in person. No phone, no internet, just you and us talking face-to-face at the Ticket Office. It's old school, but kind of romantic that way.
Bring your student ID and some cash. Rush at some shows is cash only, so hit the ATM on your way to Overture.
Buy on the day of the show. If rush tickets are available at all, it will probably be only on the day of the show. Some shows may have restrictions that allow us to sell rush tickets only an hour or two before curtain time. Be sure to read the rules for the specific show.
Plan ahead. Waiting for rush tickets is always a gamble. Shows may sell out or not offer student rush tickets at all. If there's a show you really want to see, you can guarantee getting a ticket and the best seats available by forgetting the discount and buying well in advance.
