The Berenstain Bears on Stage

MadCAP’s second year at the Overture Center presents the musical, The Berenstain Bears On Stage as part of the MadCAP Theatre for Young Audiences season. MadCAPTYA is designed to introduce Madison and Dane County’s youngest theatre goers to highquality, professionally produced live theatre in an intimate theatrical setting.

TYA Producing Director, Gail Koppa, works with staff to choose age appropriate, classic children’s literature to bring to life on stage. The "world's foremost expert on theBerenstain Bears," guitar-strumming Cowboy Joe, (Reid Miller), narrates the play's five episodes which are based on five classic Berenstain Bears books:

• The Berenstain Bears' New Baby
• The Berenstain Bears and the Messy Room
• The Berenstain Bears and the Double Dare
• The Berenstain Bears Tell the Truth
• The Berenstain Bears Get Stage Fright

Our family of Bears include: Matt Dreier as Papa Bear, Grace Mooney as Mama Bear,Lily Perkel as Brother Bear, and Jemima Liposak as Sister Bear. Some other characterspresent are TooTall and his gang, Farmer Ben, and Teacher Jane.
