Just like squeaky cheese curds, juicy brats and Midwestern hospitality, Polka music is at the heart of Wisconsin's culture, heritage and pride. At Pint Size Polkas with Uncle Mike, children of all ages will enjoy the good vibes and bouncy beat of catchy polka tunes as they learn about letters in the alphabet, numbers, occupations and relationships through the music. You and your family will be at the center of each show as you are invited to volunteer to participate, sing along and learn steps to the "Chicken Dance." Don't miss the chance to celebrate your Wisconsin roots in a performance that Kids Music that Rocks calls "tons of fun for young and old!"
Each Saturday from the end of September through April at 9:30 AM, 11 AM and 1 PM, Overture Center presents Kids in the Rotunda, a series of FREE artistic programs designed for children and families. This popular performing arts series on the Rotunda Stage offers a relaxed, kid-friendly environment in which to enjoy a diverse lineup of local and regional musicians, storytellers, jugglers, theater troupes, magicians and dancers. The 1 PM performances are sign language interpreted.
Kids in the Rotunda is generously sponsored by American Girl's Fund for Children. Additional funding for Kids in the Rotunda is provided by contributors to the Ovation Fund and also by members of the KIR Club.
