Jerry Apps, Madison Ellis/Henderson Outdoor Writing Award
Richard Quinney, Madison Kingery/Derleth Book-Length Nonfiction Award
Apps’s Old Farm, a History is the natural history of a place and the people devoted to it. The writings are graced by the fine photography of Steve Apps.
Quinney’s Things Once Seen presents compelling photographs spanning forty years as well as writing that is as much poetry as it is narrative. It’s a haunting vignette woven together into a story of inner and outer exploration.
