Madison Folk Society is a non-profit society dedicated to fostering folk music in the Madison area. Throughout the year, the organization presents a series of concerts, including Folk on State, featuring local, regional and nationally touring musicians and publishes a monthly newsletter. Through gifts, memberships, concert sales, and donations, Mad Folk annually offers two scholarships for student music lessons in the folk genre.


Wild Hog in the Woods is an all volunteer run, non-profit group  dedicated to promoting, preserving and enjoying all types of traditional folk and acoustic music. Memberships are available on their website at www.wildhoginthewoods.org


ABOUT THE MUSICIANS:

 

11:00 AM – Annie & Rod Capps
This folk duo has been creating a journey made up of songs for years with what is described as “rootsy vibe, with a touch of twang and soulful groove”. Come out during the lazy days of August and enjoy the music!


12:00 PM – Small Potatoes
Jacquie Manning and Rich Prezioso the award-winning folk duo have been presenting what they call their “Celtic to Cowboy” folk music since to fans since the early ‘90’s. Based in Chicago, they have been a sought-after favorite of clubs and festivals around the country. Audience members will enjoy the beautiful blend of music and instruments.
