Dreams of Our Future Glendale Elementary Presentation

On Saturday November 28 at 3:30 pm Glendale Elementary School children will present selections from their original books on the Rotunda Stage on the lower level of the Overture Center. Selected books are on view in the Playhouse Gallery, lower level, Overture Center.

Dreams of Our Future is an exhibition of original artwork created by the fourth and fifth grade classes at Glendale Elementary School in Madison. The school kids, inspired by the artists in the James Watrous Gallery exhibition, The Fine Art of Children's Book Illustration, created their own illustrated books based on their visions for the future.

Held in conjunction with the James Watrous Gallery's exhibition, The Fine Art of Children's Book Illustration and the Academy Evening series, Wisconsin 2050: Pioneering the Future, Dreams of Our Future will be on view in the Playhouse Gallery in the lower level of the Overture Center for the Arts from November 17, 2009 through January 8, 2010.

The Fine Art of Children's Book Illustration, on view in the James Watrous Gallery, third floor, Overture Center, presents the works of several of Wisconsin's most accomplished authors/illustrators of children's picture books.

Note: James Watrous Gallery hours on Saturday, November 28 are 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.
