Denis Sargent & Michael Velliquette, Side-by-Side Solo Exhibitions

Milwaukee artist Denis Sargent's series entitled Schemata references nomadic textiles from a variety of cultures. Michael Velliquette, of Madison, creates intricate and ornate cut paper works which are inspired by his interest in subjects ranging from world mythologies and folk art to Symbolism and Art Brut.

The exhibitions are supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts; and by a grant from the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission with additional funds from the American Girl's Fund for Children and the Overture Foundation.
