Cabaret Dinner Theater: Paul Marinaro Trio

The stock market was cold, but the tunes were hot. During the 1930s, more classic American standards were written than in any other era. In the midst of a massive depression, great strides were being made in cinema, theater, and recorded sound. The Paul Marinaro Trio presents a musical tribute to this extraordinary decade with original arrangements of songs that helped the nation, as Irving Berlin put it, “wrap their troubles in dreams.” Time Out Chicago says “Marinaro weaves a spell that makes you forget about the outside world as you’re held captive by his talent.”

About the Cabaret Dinner Theater: This is a stunningly unique musical dining experience. First, you're treated to hors d'oeuvres in the lobby of Capitol Theater. Then you'll enter the theater, revealing a fairy-tale scene, candlelit chandeliers sparkling above. You'll be served dinner on stage -- an elegant meal prepared by Catering a Fresco, the resident culinary arts company of Overture Center.
