Autumn Heart

Georgia Corner, former principal dancer with the internationally acclaimed Erik Hawkins Dance Company will premier "Anti-Panurge". In this staging, as their world descends into increasing cacophony, the dancers must somehow adapt their happy individuality to create a collective barricade against chaos. Minneapolis based company Footholds Dance will perform "THE BOTTOM FELL OUT…and then…" Starting with a smash, this trio vaults forward. In addition, Footholds Director Jim Leiberthal will premier "INwards" a solo created for KDC’s Kerry Parker.  Madison’s Maureen Janson will create a duet for KDC's dancers Juan Carlos Diaz Velez and Kerry Parker. Guest artist Kiro Kopulos will dance "Yggdrasil" choreographed by KDC's Co-Artistic Director Lisa Thurrell. This work, lush and romantic, is inspired by the legend of the Norse Tree of life. "Dialogue", a new work by KDC's Kerry Parker, based on St Catherine of Sienna."Obverse, Veiled Mirrors" ,  a dance for seven women dressed in black gowns reveal an individual’s deconstructed tango with various personas. Completing the program will be a premier by KDC's Co-Artistic Director Robert E Cleary--- 6 men in harnesses---shafts of light--- metaphors and extreme physicality--.
