Performance Arts Series for Students
Overture Center for the Arts invites you to join in the 2008 - 2009 OnStage Performing Arts Series for Students. The series offers a diverse range of performing art forms and multicultural opportunities, encompassing all grade levels. As always, we are thrilled to present some of the finest professional artists in the United States, as well as international performance companies.
These performing arts experiences offer the opportunity to integrate the arts in to all levels of education including academic, cultural, aesthetic and personal development. Overture OnStage provides easy to use resource guides for each performance. The guides further explore the art forms and identify curricular connections, supporting the work of the teacher in the classroom.
The various venues inside Overture Center offer a great opportunity to match the aesthetic of the production. Performances this season will be presented in Overture Hall, the Capitol Theater, and The Playhouse. After the performance, you may want to visit the Overture Galleries, the Watrous Gallery and/or the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art.
