Overture Listens...to Parents: Special Free Event
Scheduled for Monday March 22nd!

Overture Listens provides opportunities for community members to give input and feedback to Overture to influence future decision-making about program offerings.  The project kicked off last September at the Community Ticket Voucher annual meeting [LINK on the words ‘annual meeting’: http://overturecenter.com/blog/?m=200909].

In recent news, on Saturday December 19th we conducted video interviews with kiddos who attended Kids in the Rotunda [LINK: http://overturecenter.com/community/kids-in-the-rotunda].  We asked them what they think about that program, Overture Center as well as art and culture in general.  We think that these superstars are a big part of what makes Kids in the Rotunda a special place and are glad we get to share their thoughts with you.

To hear some of the cool stuff they had to talk about, check out the four videos below.  And remember, it’s easy to spread the fun around.  To share, simply click… [INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS HERE]

We are in process of planning an Overture Listens event in early March for parents to share their thoughts on Overture programming.  If you are interested in participating in that event or another Overture Listens event, email overturelistens@overturecenter.com.

At the next Overture Listens event, we'll look to hear from parents - what kind of artistic and educational experiences do you want for your kids?  Using small group discussions, we'll discover the kinds of programming and activities your family values most and explore how Overture can step in to meet your needs.

You won't want to miss this exciting opportunity to get to know other parents in the area, talk about what matters most to your family, and share your vision for how Overture Center can provide programs that are meaningful to you.  We will also have a door prize of four tickets to see magician Bill Blagg!

The event is scheduled for Monday March 22nd from 6pm to 7:15pm at Overture Center.  RSVP by emailing your name, preferred email address and daytime telephone number to overturelistens@overturecenter.com.  To learn more about the event, click here.

As part of our ongoing Overture Listens program, we heard from a number of kids about Overture Center, Kids in the Rotunda, and the arts in general. Check out these four YouTube videos - they're just 2 minutes each. You'll be amazed at what they had to say!
