How to Participate

Note: Only teachers/directors may complete the Tommy Awards Application for their schools.  However, students may apply directly for the Student Critics Program.

1. Visit the Rules and Guidelines page to confirm that your school is eligible and able to abide by the program rules.

2. If your musical takes place between September 29, 2011 and December 31, 2011:

a. Download the Tommy Awards Application form and complete.  The deadline is September 30, 2011.

b. Don’t forget to include the $30 application fee!  Make checks out to Overture Center for the Arts.

3 If your musical takes place between January 1 and May 6, 2012:

a.  Download the Tommy Awards Application form and complete.  The deadline is January 1, 2012.

b.  Don’t forget to include the $30 application fee!  Make checks out to Overture Center for the Arts.

4.  If your musical takes place after May 6, 2012 but before September 29, 2012 you can apply to have your production considered for the 2012-13 Tommy Awards.

5. If your school uses its musical theater production to engage the community, download and complete the Community Engagement Award Application.  This form must be received by Overture Center by April 23, 2012.

6. When Overture receives an application from you, we will confirm receipt and provide you with further details as quickly as possible.
