Educators Resource Guides
Educators resource guides are designed especially for each performance. They provide performance information, pre- and post-performance activities that connect the performance to school curriculum, references to Wisconsin Model Academic Standards, theater etiquette guidelines and additional resources. Guides are only available on the Overture Center Web site. There are no printed versions.
Lunch at Overture Center
Eating lunch at Overture Center is popular, but space availability is limited. To request a space, please complete the online Lunch Reservation Request Form and submit at least 5 weeks prior to the performance. Requests are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Download Lunch Reservation Form here.
Refund Policy
Refunds are issued only if a performance is cancelled by Overture Center or if the district superintendent closes the school on the day of the performance. No refunds are given for unused seats.
Seat and Transportation Subsidy
School with an economically disadvantaged student population located within a 50-mile radius of Madison may apply for seat and transportation subsidies. A school is eligible if 35% or more of the student population participates in the federal free and reduced lunch program. Eligibility information will be requested from your district office and confirmed by Overture staff.
A Subsudy Application may be downloaded here or emailed upon request.
Please note that funding for subsidies is limited. A seat reservation form must be submitted prior to applying for subsidy. Requests are completed on a first come, first serve basis until limitation is reached. Requests must be submitted at least 10 weeks prior to the performance.
Sold Out Performances
Many of the OnStage performances reach capacity during the preceding spring. When we receive an order for a sold out performance, you will be notified that your school is placed on a waiting list. At this time, you can request that your reservation be switched to a different performance or you can wait for notification of a cancellation or added performance.
Student Accommodations
Overture Center accommodates those with mobility, hearing, visual impairment or other special needs, if given sufficient notice. Please advise us of your needs on the Registration Form or contact us with any questions. Requests for a sign language interpreter must be made at least 5 weeks prior to the performance. Download accommodation information here.
Survey
If you attended an OnStage performance, we would love to hear about your experience. Please complete an online survey.
Ticket Prices
Tickets are $6 for groups of 20 seats or more per performance. Tickets are $8 for orders less than 20 seats per performance. Please note that for every 15 tickets purchased, groups receive one additional complimentary seat. These seats should be used for chaperones.
