Arts & Prosperity Study III

Many people flock to Overture to enjoy fine performances, but few of them think about the economic impact the arts have on Madison and the surrounding area. Data from the Arts & Economic Prosperity Study III shows that Dane County’s nonprofit arts industry generates over $111 million in annual economic activity, including:

• 4,058 full-time equivalent jobs
• 69 million in resident household income 
• Over $10 million in local and state government tax revenues
