After years of providing some of the best support as top sidemen in the New Orleans music scene, bassist George Porter, Jr., drummer Russell Batiste, Jr., and guitarist Brian Stoltz have stepped to the front of the stage as Porter Batiste Stoltz (PBS), one of the hottest new groups to emerge from the Crescent City in recent years. Essentially an outgrowth of
the renowned New Orleans band the Funky Meters, which featured Art Neville of the Neville Brothers, PBS has established their own raw, funky style that captures the best elements of what has come to be recognized as the sound of New Orleans R&B.
