Based in Montreal, Quebec, and a leader in the contemporary circus movement, Cirque Éloize combines time-honored circus elements with music, dance, theater and performance to create a new brand of artistry that demolishes our old ideas about the meaning of “circus” and replaces them with something truly magical. Will there be clowns and pratfalls? Sure. But there will also be mystery, shadows and a hint of Shakespeare. In Nebbia, Cirque Éloize has created a universe composed of, to borrow a phrase from The Tempest, “such stuff as dreams are made on.” The way you think about circuses will never be the same.
