The Assad Brothers

The Washington Post has called Brazilian-born brothers Sergio and Odair Assad “the best two-guitar team in existence, maybe in history.” Their uncanny ensemble playing is, in the words of the Los Angeles Times, “so precise, so perfectly synchronized that it reaches far beyond musical partnership into a kind of creative symbiosis.” The Assads’ virtuosity has earned them a couple of Grammy Awards and opportunities to perform and record with such musical giants as Yo-Yo Ma and Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. No guitar duo in the world surpasses the Assads in innovation, technical wizardry and expression.
