The Swell Season is led by Irish singer
Glen Hansard (of the band The Frames) and Czech newcomer Marketa
Irglova. The duo performed their Oscar winning song, "Falling
Slowly", at the 2008 Academy Awards ceremony. That song
was a recent winner of Best Song at the Critic's Choice Awards,
and the film won Best Foreign Film at this year's Film Independent
Spirit Awards.
