Addy Walker is a hopeful 9-year-old
girl growing up in slavery during the Civil War. When her
father and brother are sold away from the plantation, Addy
and her mother make the wrenching decision to escape to freedom
on their own. But that means leaving Addy’s baby sister
behind—her cries could cost them their lives. A Seattle
Children’s Theatre production based on the popular American
Girl book series, this show reminds us of a powerful truth:
freedom sometimes has great costs. |
Join us at the post-performance tea party!
Cast members will be there in costume. The party is at 2:45 in the Wisconsin Studio and will last about an hour. Sandwiches, fruit, and dessert will be served, along with tea, lemonade, coffee and party favors. All seats are $20 general admission. Buy
